Mayor Jimmy Haley, acting as city administrator, has been given forgiveness for indebting the city to pay nearly $10,000 to AEI Architects without Finance Committee permission. Haley signed an order for AEI to begin site development plans for the land behind the Blue Building to construct a police station and fire station once demolition of the gymnasium and auditorium are complete. AEI was hired by the city to conduct an inspection of the Blue Building to determine its structural integrity.
