City to resume spraying for mosquitoes

McMinnville Public Works is on the verge of spraying for mosquitoes once again. Equipment and chemicals have been purchased, but education is needed.“Once we get the appropriate training to use the new equipment, we will be ready to go,” said Public Works director Bill Brock, during last week’s meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Officials voted in April to designate $13,364 to purchase a mosquito mister machine for $8,500, chemicals for $4,015 and $849 for pellets to be placed in standing water.
