Concerned citizens aired their grievances about the promotion of Islam in textbooks that may be headed for Warren County classrooms.“The publishing company that publishes these textbooks is deeply corrupt and is slanted toward Islam,” said Brian Curran, who has a grandchild in the local school system. “These textbooks are a means to steer our children away from Christianity and toward Islam.”Curran and fellow community activist Kristan Ware spoke to the Warren County School Board which met in special session to hear their concerns. Director of Schools Bobby Cox serves on the state review board that put the textbooks from Pearson Publishing on a list to be considered by the state’s schools.“The publisher works hand in hand with the Muslim Brotherhood,” Ware said.
