Sentences were handed down recently by Judge Bart Stanley in Circuit Court for charges ranging from armed felons to probation violators. Included in court action:• John Loanza Burkes was sentenced to three years in the state penitentiary and was ordered to forfeit his handgun for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.• Clifton Duane Hennessee was instructed to serve 120 days of a three-year sentence and make restitution for theft over $1,000.• Dewayne Warren Wilder was directed to serve 180 days of an 11-29 sentence and serve the balance of his former sentence for seventh-offense driving on a suspended license. He must serve the balance of a former sentence for violating his probation on his prior conviction on the charge of promoting the manufacture of meth.• Kristen Marie Flores was granted a two-year judicial diversion and must perform 20 hours public service work and make $94 restitution for passing a forged instrument.
