Main Street McMinnville and the Warren County Chamber of Commerce are presenting a Cu$tomer $ervice Mean$ Dollar$ and Cent$ workshop May 8 from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
The workshop will focus on how to be successful in business by establishing excellent customer service. It will be held at the Chamber’s conference room and is free to all business owners, managers and key personnel.
Guest speaker will be Ramay Woody Winchester, director of the Retire Tennessee Program of the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.
Winchester says in order to be successful in business, it is necessary to consistently bring in new customers and to make repeat customers out of those new ones.
The key element on how to accomplish this, says Winchester, is to practice excellent customer service. This means presenting a positive image, making customers feel welcome, knowing the product and service well, and conveying that knowledge clearly, and resolving any complaints quickly and courteously.
This workshop is one of a series of workshops presented as part of Main Street McMinnville’s Retail Development Project, says executive director Carla King.
“This is one of a series of workshops that will provide attendees with customer service skills that can be taken back to their businesses and immediately put to use to build or expand their customer base,” said King.
A light breakfast buffet will be available. There is no registration fee, but registrations are requested. Call the Main Street McMinnville office at 506-5335 or email mainstmcminn@blomand.net by May 7.
