After more than a decade at Main Street McMinnville and four years as its executive director, Carla King is resigning and moving to Charleston, S.C.“I’m moving to Charleston to be closer to my grandchildren,” said King. “I visit them as often as I can, but it’s not often enough. They are getting older and I don’t want to miss anything.”King began working at Main Street in 2000 as a part-time assistant for director Amy-Jo Stanford and she remained as an assistant to Chris Wilson when he was hired as director.“I left for a little while after Chris was hired,” said King.
