McMinnville city government’s regular meeting night has been changed from the second Tuesday in October to the first Tuesday, which is Oct. 2.A meeting of the city’s Finance Committee will begin at 6:30 p.m. On the agenda is to “discuss draft capital improvement plan” and “fire station study.”According to Finance Committee chairman Billy Wood, capital improvement plans have been presented to the city by each department head.“We will be looking over all the plans Tuesday night,” he said. “We will prioritize them and send them to the board to see which ones they want to do and which ones they don’t.”When it comes to the study, it’s about Fire Station 1 and not about a proposed third station, according to Wood.“What we will be looking at is Fire Station 1, which is in pretty bad shape,” he said. “It’s the oldest fire station we have.
