Local businessman Butch Bullen says he’s out of the county executive’s race.Bullen says his withdrawal is due to some business opportunities at Nationwide Insurance where he serves as an agent.“I discussed with them a couple months ago about whether there would be any conflicts of interest with me running for county executive and was given the green light,” Bullen said Thursday. “Now I’ve been told there could be some opportunities coming up in the near future that I could miss out on if I go that route. With my son, Grant, joining me in the business a few months ago, I wouldn’t want to miss out on those opportunities and possibly jeopardize anything for him down the road.
