It survived two fires and stood for nearly 100 years, but the building at 205 E. Main Street was finally knocked to the ground yesterday. The building had been ordered to be destroyed on or before March 1 with all the debris to be removed on or before April 15.The 45-day delay will allow Jason Neusse to sort through the debris with the aim of keeping most of it to reuse. Neusse was on hand yesterday handling demolition.“I’ve never had a job where there’s been more politics involved,” said Neusse. “I don’t know the history of this or anything that’s been happening with this building, but I can tell it’s been a good one.”Neusse says he will try to clean most of the bricks so they can be used on another project.
