McMinnville Breakfast Rotary will hold its fourth annual Float and Clean-up of the Barren Fork River on July 22 and has requested McMinnville officials allow Rotarians to camp at a city-owned park.“We are requesting the city allow us to camp for one night at Pepper Branch Park,” said MBR president David Snowden. “We are not sure how many campers will be spending the night, but we typically have 75-125 volunteers.”In the last three years, the event has pulled well over 11.5 tons of garbage and debris from the two-mile stretch from Pepper Branch to Rocket Park. Among the items pulled from the river have been tires, household appliances, bottles, cans and plastic fishing containers.
