Bonnaroo known for music and more
Bonnaroo--James--Jeff
Standard editor James Clark interviews AC Entertainment representative Jeff Cuellar next to the main stage at Bonnaroo on Wednesday. Cuellar said it sometimes takes years to book a Bonnaroo headliner.
The movie “Trainwreck” was playing on the big screen Thursday afternoon at the Bonnaroo Cinema Tent. What’s remarkable about this is the summer comedy starring Amy Schumer isn’t set to be released until July 17. It’s all part of a vision to make Bonnaroo a destination for more than music.“We’re talking about having movie premieres here with a red carpet and the works,” said Jeff Cuellar of AC Entertainment, one of two Bonnaroo promoters. “It’s another aspect of the festival we want to expand.”The driving beat behind Bonnaroo remains its music and more than 100 acts are scheduled to perform during the four-day festival which enters day two on Friday.
