Barrett looks to give copier to nonprofit

Local business owner Drew Barrett has a copier to give away.
Barrett says he wants to give the copier to a local church or nonprofit in need and is asking those organizations to submit a written request.
“What usually happens with churches and other nonprofits is somebody donates a copier to them when they are replacing their own copier,” said Barrett. “It often turns out that copier is junk or needs a lot of repairs, which is why it was being replaced to begin with. When these nonprofits don’t have the money to spend on repairs, they’re left without a copier.”
Barrett says he has an E-Studio 203SD desktop copier that works well and would be a nice fit for a church or nonprofit. The copier only has 21 days of use and has made 8,492 copies.
“I know this is a good copier and I want it to go to somebody who needs it,” said Barrett.
Any organization which would like to have the copier is encouraged to write a short letter explaining why. Barrett says he has enlisted the services of two nonpartisan volunteers who will determine which nonprofit will benefit the most.
Letters can be mailed or dropped off in person at Barrett’s, 1039 Sparta Street, McMinnville, 37110. The deadline to enter is Feb. 28.
