Avalos charged with vandalism

A woman who carved a smiley face into someone’s car hood has been indicted on vandalism charges.
The woman, Tabitha Avalos, was indicted on the charge of vandalism for an incident which happened in the parking lot of a West End Avenue apartment.
According to the victim, she saw Avalos standing by her car when she looked out the window. After Avalos left it was discovered someone had scratched a smiley face into the hood of the victim’s car.
Witnesses at the apartments said they saw Avalos standing over the car hood with her arm making a circular motion. A motive for the crime has not been revealed.
Avalos has denied her involvement in the crime.
