Armed robber gets nine years

A man’s unusual accent will cost him nine years behind bars after he entered a best-interest plea to robbing the Shell station on Smithville Highway earlier this year.The robber, Bryan J. Bridgman, entered his best-interest plea before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to the charge of aggravated robbery. A best-interest plea goes on the books the same as a guilty plea. He will also be responsible for making restitution to the Smithville Highway Shell in the amount of $12,471.
