Individuals staged a protest at the intersection of Spring Valley Road and the new four-lane to Woodbury on Wednesday.Residents in that area are objecting to the proposed development of six duplexes by McMinnville Housing Authority on 22.36 acres. McMinnville officials recently voted to annex the property into the city limits so the development could take place.According to demonstrator Jeffrey Hobbs, residents feel like they have been ignored by both city and county officials.“We feel like we’ve had no democracy,” said Hobbs. “Our county representatives are not taking up for us.
