Animal Control worker Kim Pettrey is now officially a full-time employee, according the members of the county’s Health and Welfare Committee. Pettrey’s full-time status will date back to Aug. 2 when she began working at the facility full-time due to Animal Control director Tammy Webb being put on administrative leave. Webb was put on administrative leave following the arrest of her son, Jonathan Ewell Smith, who was taken into custody for the manufacture, delivery and sale of marijuana which was found growing on county property behind the Animal Control building.Webb was later fired following her arrest for the same charges as her son.Members of the Health and Welfare Committee have not advertised for a new director of Animal Control as they want things to settle down for a couple of months before hiring a new director.
