Animal Control forced to euthanize

The saying, “All good things must come to an end” holds true for Warren County Animal Control’s ability to have euthanized only three animals in over a year.According to the Animal Control monthly report given to members of the county’s Health and Welfare Committee, 16 animals (seven dogs and nine cats) were euthanized in July. According to the report, one of the cats died of natural causes and one dog perished due to injuries it sustained after being hit by a car.From July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013, Animal Control euthanized three animals — all because of special circumstances. A pitbull was determined to be aggressive and the facility was required to euthanize it.
