From the dairy farm to Capitol Hill, local teacher turned state Rep. Kevin Dunlap has been a student of politics all his life and now he is living his dream as he takes his first elected office.“I’ve always had an interest in the political process,” said Dunlap while on break during his orientation process on Capitol Hill. “It’s something that always interested me, even as a child.”Dunlap won election as 43rd District State Representative in a close election earlier this month, beating Sparta Republican Robert Dunham by 55 votes. The district Dunlap now represents includes about two-thirds of Warren County, and all of White and Grundy counties.
