RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Brazilian police say they've arrested two men in connection to a school shooting in Rio that left at least 12 students dead.
A police spokeswoman says that one of the men allegedly put the gunman in touch with the other, who allegedly sold the gunman a pistol used in the shooting.
Neither has been charged and authorities have not released their identities.
The official spoke Saturday on condition of anonymity, saying she was not authorized to discuss the matter.
Police have identified the gunman as 23-year-old Wellington Oliveira. The gunman entered a Rio school Thursday and opened fire, lining kids up along a wall and shooting them at point-blank range.
The gunman shot and killed himself after being confronted by police.
