Dibrell didn’t disappoint in its tournament debut Monday.

The Wildcats whipped the West Elementary Wizards 43-12, the first of three wins Dibrell will have to secure to win the 5-6 grade elementary championship.

Garrison Randolph finished with 12 points, leading eight different Wildcats who scored in the blowout victory.
Dibrell started the game on a 20-2 run, building a lead West would never threaten.

Dibrell had extra motivation after falling into the play-in game on the final night of the regular season. The Wildcats were almost locked into the No. 3 seed, but dropped after losing to WCMS on the last night – coupled with Hickory Creek beating Boyd.

With Randolph leading the way – his two 3-pointers highlighted the extended run in the first half – Dibrell earned a date with Centertown Thursday night. The quarterfinal matchup is set for 7:45 p.m.

Dibrell scoring –Randolph 12, Mathew Arnold 8, Chance Whitlock 6, Syler Simmons 6, Zac Mullican 5, Vincent Flores 2, Kaden Pendergraph 2, Cyrus McCormick 2

West scoring – Jayton Baker 8, Hector Marquez 2, Deshawn Adams 2
