Crockett Walker grabbed a clutch rebound in the final seconds and Sloan Seymour made a block at the buzzer to help the WCMS varsity boys secure a tense 36-34 win over Franklin County South on Monday night in McMinnville.Every possession was of huge importance down the stretch as the Pioneers tried to withstand a speedy Franklin South team that featured two sharpshooters from the perimeter. In the end, WCMS used its play in the paint to gain the victory.Walker and Jamison Holt both powered to the rim for baskets in the final quarter. That was followed by a three-point play from Ben Clark where he pulled down a rebound in traffic, made the putback, and was fouled.Holding a 36-34 lead, the Pioneers had two chances to add to that lead in the final 17 seconds but missed a pair of 1-and-1 opportunities from the foul line.
