The littlest Pioneer basketball fan goes to Blakely Martin, 2 weeks, daughter of Tenara and David Martin, as she cheers for her brother, Jax King, playing for the WCMS Pioneers versus Bobby Ray on Thursday night. It worked as the Pioneers won the contest, and King scored 6 points.
Exemplifying the reason they’re the real deal, the visiting Warren County Middle School Pioneers conquered Bobby Ray’s Stars, 42-14, Thursday night to remain undefeated.The Pioneer (7-0) offense once again scored across the board with 9-of-11 players adding to their total. Sawyer Seymour and Owen Clark led the scoring drive with 8 points apiece, Jax King was good for 6, Wesley Sherrell, Kaden Rutledge, Logan Earls and Levi Melton all had 4 points each, and Evan Watts and Braylon Grayson both were good for 2 points.Hitting hoops for Bobby Ray (2-2) were Jaxson Ward with 6 points, Isaiah Cummings had 4 and Devin Grayson and Treyton Terry both had two points each.The Warren County Lady Pioneers made it a clean sweep by defeating the Bobby Ray Lady Stars 37-6. Kyra Perkins led the Lady Pioneer (6-1) charge with a game-high 15 points, followed by Kinsley Grissom with 8, Jaycee Hodges had 6, Bella Bain 4, and Rosa Terrassas and Aricka Walker both had 2 points.Scoring for the Lady Stars (1-5) were Sadie Duggin with 4 points and Saydie Farmer had 2 points.
