The sun continued to set on Saturday afternoon and its disappearance spelt trouble for the Warren County Middle School softball team. With the Lady Pioneers trying to forge a comeback in the DeKalb County tournament championship game, having the game cut short was the worst possible outcome.Time ran out on the Lady Pioneers as the team fell to Gordonsville 2-1 in a contest which lasted only three innings due to darkness. It was the only loss Warren County would suffer in Smithville though.
