Justin Rochon led the way on the ground for the Pioneers with two touchdowns in the 20-6 victory. Uriah King added the other touchdown for the Pioneers.
In the first quarter, both teams had chances as they traded possessions, but failed to score, keeping the game tied after one.
The second quarter was a different story for the Pioneers as they finally got on the scoreboard thanks to Rochon and King. They both scored on the ground.
Both Pioneer two-point conversion attempts were no good, but Warren County led at the half, 12-0.
At the beginning of the third quarter, both teams traded possessions but failed to score.
Avery Trace cut into the Pioneer lead late in the third with a score, but missed the two-point try to make it 12-6, still in the favor of the Pioneers at the end of three.
Rochon scored again and Seth Meeks added a two-point conversion to extend the Pioneer lead as they stopped Avery Trace from getting into the endzone again and prevailed, 20-6.
The Pioneers will be back in action on the road Sept. 19 when they travel to Coffee County.
