Every shot was a struggle for the Warren County Middle School girls team in the fourth quarter Friday against DeKalb County. Free throws wouldn’t fall, shots seemed to miss the mark every time and the Lady Pioneer lead was precarious at best.Instead of panicking, the Lady Pioneers did what they do best – Warren County locked down on the defensive end. The Lady Pioneers were able to hold off the Lady Saints by limiting their opponent to three points in the final quarter of a 26-23 win for Warren County.Warren County (3-4) started out hot at home in a day game played in front of the WCMS student body.
