The Warren County 7-8 grade boys basketball team spent a lot of time on the line Tuesday in Winchester against the North Middle School Gators. The Pioneers hit 16-of-27 foul shots in their 41-29, road win over the Gators.It was a huge second-quarter decider for the Pioneers as they were able to pound the boards for 10 points and add 7 points from the line. The Gators went on to parallel the Pioneers in third and fourth quarter action, scoring team totals of 7 and 10 points each, but staying even wasn’t enough for North to recover.The Gators didn’t have much opportunity to draw fouls either, only shooting 4-for-7 from the line in all four quarters.Pioneer C.J. Taylor went 8-for-12 from the foul line, adding to his game-high score of 14 points.
