There was no bowl game to play for, nor could the Warren County Middle School team claim a conference championship with a win Tuesday. All the Pioneers had to play for was pride, and it nearly fueled the team to an upset win over White County.Warren County took the undefeated Central Tennessee Conference champions down to the wire before falling 30-28 in the season finale at Nunley Stadium. Warren County fell behind 24-6 at one point in the second half, only to rally and nearly win.
