Jamey Jennings held the football over his head triumphantly, the Pioneer offense sprinted on the field and coach Adam Wood felt the momentum swinging in the Warren County Middle School football team’s favor. Then everything changed in the span of one minute. After Jennings recovered a football in a tie game to give the Pioneers great field position, back-to-back Pioneer interceptions led to two Franklin North touchdowns in the final minute of the first half as the Gators used the flurry of points to defeat Warren County 32-6 Tuesday night at Nunley Stadium.Warren County (0-2) had everything going its way when Jennings dove on a fumble in the second quarter moments after his two-yard touchdown plunge had tied the game at 6-6.A holding penalty put the Pioneers in a bad down-and-distance though, leaving Warren County with 4th-and-27 after beginning the drive at the Franklin North 17. Warren County quarterback Trayton Rackley threw up a prayer on fourth down which landed in the hands of a Gator and Franklin North never looked back. The Gators capitalized on the turnover with a 56-yard touchdown run from Logan Davis to make it 12-6 with 45 seconds to play in the first half.
