Having lots of basketballs around in December is nothing new for a basketball team with the season in full swing. Not so much for the Warren County Middle School basketball teams, as they wrapped up a bout of Pioneer philanthropy by helping their school's parent Christmas project in gathering donations of new basketballs.“It’s a way to give back at an early age,” said Warren County Middle School basketball head coach Isaiah Phillips. “First it was one or two and then they all started bringing stuff.”The basketball teams’ involvement is just part of a larger school project all done with donations from various local businesses, concerned residents and a certain mother-son dance that is a fan favorite for the last five years.“We have 129 children so far this year,” said program organizer Sabrina Wannamaker.
