Reloading may not be as easy for the Warren County High School girls soccer team this year. After graduating one of the most successful senior classes in 2012, the Lady Pioneers returned to the field last fall and promptly went all the way to substate. Aiding the process was the presence of Ansley Mullican and Morgan McCormick, two all-state performers, and a host of experienced seniors ready to fill in on a 16-6 squad. This year, the Lady Pioneers look to be starting from scratch.Only a handful of players return with extensive playing experience, headlined by seniors Rylee Hilliard and Isabel Kirby, juniors Lindsey Cox, Larissa Lopez, Alana Ortiz and Saydee Winfree and sophomore Madison Mason. Now asked to be vocal veterans, Hilliard, Kirby and two fellow seniors – Chloe Hutchison and Grace Iocona – are tasked with leading a group of Lady Pioneers which includes 12 new freshmen and seven sophomores hoping to make varsity impacts this season. The Lady Pioneers got off to an up-and-down start Tuesday when the team held a scrimmage against Stewarts Creek. Warren County fell down 1-0 in the opening minutes before rallying back to briefly knot the score.
