The Warren County High School boys golf team travelled to Crossville to compete against Stone Memorial at Bear Trace Golf Course on Thursday. Stone Memorial does not have a girls team. Therefore, it was a boys match only. Stone Memorial won 325–352.
The best four scores count. Bear Trace is a tough course, and the wet, rainy conditions made it more challenging.

WCHS coach J.W. Holt said, “Conditions were difficult. It started off wet, then we got more rain in the middle of the match. Considering the conditions, our boys shot close to their team average. Stone Memorial played really well on their home course.”

Junior Sawyer Seymour was recently asked about his improved scoring this season. Seymour said, “I grinded all summer and I am finally starting to see it pay off. I think the team will be pretty good this year.”
Seymour was asked if he could beat Lauren Slatton. Seymour replied, “I think she’s got me beat, but it would be cool to have a match against her from the blues,” he said referring to the blue tees.
