The run in the Midstate Christmas tournament for the Warren County High School boys basketball team finished one win short of a championship. The Pioneers were defeated 59-47 in the title game by Clarksville at Ezell Harding High School.Warren County (3-12) won two straight games to reach the finals – the team’s first back-to-back wins of the season. The Pioneers beat White House Heritage 47-45 and host school Ezell Harding 69-60, but Clarksville proved to be too much in the championship game.The Wildcats swept through CAK and Summertown to reach the finals, then got 14 points from J.J. Jones and 12 points from Brevon Johnson to topple the Pioneers in the title tilt.Senior Trace Taylor capped a remarkable run in the Midstate Christmas tournament with 15 points in the finals – increasing his tournament total to 51 points in three games.
