Monday’s district finale for the Warren County High School wrestling team against Coffee County had extra incentive. A berth in the regional duels was on the line and a win meant the Pioneers would face Tullahoma, but a loss would give the Red Raiders the spot. With several wrestlers injured and the visitors providing a tough test, the Pioneers fell to Coffee County 55-24. Warren County (13-15 overall, 4-2 in district) was hopeful it would qualify for the regional duels Monday with a win, but the two-team field will be comprised of Tullahoma and Coffee County as the injury-ravaged roster of the Pioneers wasn’t enough to beat the Red Raiders.
WC submits to Coffee Co.
