One strike away.That will be the thought of the Warren County High School baseball team for a week until it can get back on the field against the White County Warriors. The Warriors rallied in the top of the seventh Friday night with three runs despite being down to their final strike twice to win 4-2 in the preseason round-round District 6-AAA tournament.Warren County was one pitch away from improving to 7-1 Friday, including starting the district with back-to-back wins, but the Warriors wouldn’t go away and ultimately came back to beat the Pioneers.When the seventh inning started, Warren County was clinging to a 2-1 lead over the Warriors. Sophomore Collin Smedley was on the mound, fresh off earning a huge save three nights prior against Tullahoma.Smedley retired the first two Warriors he faced, then got two strikes on Michael Sain.
