The WCHS Lady Pioneer volleyball team needed some upbeat news Tuesday after learning junior starter Marah Wanamaker is lost for the season with a broken wrist. The Lady Pioneers got it by beating both Coffee County and Grundy County during a tri-match in Manchester. The wins improve Warren County to 15-6 overall.“Marah played all week with it broken,” said WCHS coach Katie Rogers, saying no one realized the extent of the injury. “When she went to an orthopedic doctor on Saturday morning, she got X-rays and a cast. She will be out the remainder of the season.”The Lady Pioneers were able to win convincingly on Tuesday, even without Wanamaker in the lineup.
