Evan Snapp fires off a pitch in Warren County’s first scrimmage against Upperman at Patrick Ramsey Field on Saturday, Feb. 22. Snapp was one of 11 Pioneers who pitched in the 14-inning long scrimmage against the Bees that resulted in a 9-7 loss for Warren County. On Tuesday, Feb. 25, the Pioneers collected their first win of the preseason with a 20-1 walloping of Grundy County, but their most recent outing against Cannon County on Thursday ended in a 6-3 loss. Warren County is also slated to play a road scrimmage at Cascade on Saturday, March 1 and the regular season is scheduled to open at Moore County on Monday, March 10.
