Irving College triumphed over Eastside in their game Monday night, winning 43-13 at Irving College. 

The Tigers (3-1) pulled ahead from the beginning, only allowing the Bulldogs to score 1 point in the first quarter. Irving College’s Corban Felton was the top scorer of this game contributing a total of 20 points. Eastside was unable to stop the Tigers from sinking multiple 3-pointers throughout the game. 

The first quarter score was 12-1 with Bulldog Christian Munoz being the only one on Eastside’s team to score that quarter on a free throw. The second quarter is when the Tigers widened the gap even further by scoring 22 points going into halftime with a score of 34-5. The Bulldogs were unable to find the net at all in the third quarter, but they continued to fight for the ball. The Tigers scored nine more points in the third quarter making the score 43-5. 

Bulldog Munoz continued looking for ways to score, but could not break through the Tiger defense. The Bulldogs started scoring more in the final quarter, but they could not catch up. The Tigers did not score in the final quarter and Eastside scored 8 points, but it was not enough to pull ahead. The final score was 43-13 with the Tigers taking the win.
