Feet will be pounding the pavement Wednesday morning in downtown McMinnville as the 31st running of the Dr Pepper Stars and Stripes Fun Run is set to begin at 7:30 a.m. at Court Square.The annual July 4 event includes a 5K run or walk and a one-mile walk or run. Trophies will be given to age-group winners in each division, including the Danny Stubblefield Memorial Trophy to the overall 5K winner. Last year’s overall winner was Nashville resident Jacob Carrigan, who ran the event in a time of 16 minutes, 42 seconds.
