When most people think about July 4, they think about family, food, and fireworks. Under normal circumstances July is also known for its soaring temperatures but it wasn’t the case for this year’s running of the 34th annual Stars and Stripes 5K Fun Run. This year the temperatures dipped below average and the sun was hidden from view with a very low-lying cloud cover, not to mention the on-again, off-again rain showers.
