Security Federal kept its momentum going during Monday night’s 9-10-year-old girls junior league action at Jim Mansfield Field. Security Federal, winners of two straight, made it three in a row by defeating Sonic 14-8.Security Federal broke the game open late, scoring five runs in each of the last two innings to snap a 3-3 tie after three innings.Erin Lane began a fourth-inning rally with a two-run triple, which was followed by RBI singles by Cassie McCarty and MaKenna Mason. The five runs ended the inning before Security Federal could make three outs, as league rules limit teams to five runs per inning.After Sonic drew to within two on a RBI single by Hailey Wood and a two-run single by Torie Caldwell in the top of the fifth, Security Federal shut the door on a comeback attempt.
