Roger’s Service Company and Sonic each picked up victories Thursday night in girls 9-10 junior league play at Hoover and Millraney Field.Roger’s Service Company defeated TN Warehouse 10-5, while Sonic won 6-5 over TT&G Construction.Roger’s Service Company won its second straight game behind big nights from Ashton Whiles and Kaydee Rains.Whiles and Rains each had two hits and combined to pitch five innings in the victory.Whiles pitched the first three innings, striking out nine and allowing a lone run to earn the victory.Rains finished the game in the circle and struck out three to pick up a save.Whiles singled twice and came around to score by stealing three bases each time.Rains also had two hits, including a two-run single in the second inning as Roger’s Service Company went ahead 4-1.Mary Ella Lee, Kansas Hennessee and Kassidy Byars each had RBI hits in the fourth inning as Roger’s Service Company scored six runs to take a 10-1 lead.Cierra Martin’s two-run single in the top of the fifth brought TN Warehouse within five, but the rally ended before the team could battle all the way back.Kinsley Lorance and Emily Mikkola each had one hit in the loss for TN Warehouse, which fell to 2-4. Roger’s Service Company improved to 4-2 with the victory.Behind a 14-strikeout performance from Marah Wanamaker, Sonic was able to hang on to defeat TT&G Construction 6-5.Wanamaker broke a 5-5 tie in the bottom of the fourth with a groundout to score MaKenna Mason, then hung tough in the circle to win the game.After Wanamaker struck out the side in the fifth, TT&G Construction put the tying run on second and winning run on first with two outs in the top of the sixth.Wanamaker dug deep and threw three straight strikes for her 14th strikeout to end the game.Wanamaker finished with two hits and two RBIs in the victory. Shonacye Rutledge added two hits, including an RBI single.
