Trayton Rackley tries to shed a blocker during Pioneer football practice Monday afternoon. Rackley has been all over the field making tackles this preseason and looks to be one of the main contributors at the linebacker position this season.
The WCHS football team was back at practice Monday afternoon, three days after it took on the Tullahoma Wildcats in a scrimmage at Tullahoma High School on Friday night. The Pioneers, coming off an inadequate performance two weeks ago against Summit, seemed to find their footing in the scrimmage against the Wildcats, according to head coach Tom Moore.“We played well, we made a lot of improvements from our first scrimmage against Summit. Scrimmages tell you a lot on what we need to work on as a team. We got the right personnel groupings on the field in the scrimmages and we got to rest players, something we didn’t get to do in the first scrimmage.”Moore added, “We had a few more opportunities on the outside while on offense.
