Pioneers ready for Red Raiders

Leading after the final whistle sounds is what coach Tommy Johnson wants from his Warren County High School football team. The Pioneers led in the second quarter against Cookeville two weeks ago and held a two-point lead after three quarters in Moore County last week, but both games ended with Warren County losing.Tonight in Manchester against the Coffee County Red Raiders, the Pioneers are hoping to put together four quarters of solid football after playing a solid first half against the Cavaliers and having an outstanding third quarter against the Raiders.Coach Johnson has stressed the importance of playmakers against Coffee County. If the Pioneers are to pick up a win, the head coach wants to see players consistently making plays.“We need our playmakers making plays consistently,” said Johnson.
