Ending games in walk-off style has become a trend for the Warren County High School baseball team, but Saturday was a different story for the Pioneers. The Pioneers, who were victorious in two dramatic games last week, were on the other end of a walk-off Saturday when Marshall County won 1-0.Warren County (9-9) was accustomed to being the team that came through in the clutch after beating Stone Memorial and Sequatchie County in its final at-bat last week, but Marshall County turned the tables on the Pioneers when the game came to an end on an error.Pioneer pitcher Will Sweeton had been locked in a pitcher’s duel with Cameron Isley and Tiger reliever Brayden Gentry and held his own for six innings. The senior submariner allowed only two hits, but it was a lead-off walk in the seventh inning that put the eventual winning run on for Marshall County.
