It will be the end of an era Thursday night in Morrison when the Eagles and Lady Eagles are scheduled to play their last basketball games at their historic gym.A new school in Morrison is currently under construction that is planned to be open for the start of next school year. Even if delays put construction behind, the school is expected to be complete well before the start of basketball season.With that in mind, Thursday night will be the last hurrah for Morrison gym when the 7-8 grade basketball teams play host to rival Irving College.Morrison has two regular-season games after Thursday night’s clash, but both are on the road. The tournament is scheduled for Feb. 14, 17 and 18.“We’re hoping for a big crowd and we’re inviting all former basketball players, cheerleaders and coaches to attend,” said Morrison School employee Rita Jones.
