Lady Warriors take down Dibrell

The Centertown Lady Warrior 5-6 grade girls basketball team, now 4-0, remained unbeaten Monday night after defeating Dibrell’s Lady Wildcats (3-2), 27-10, Monday night at Dibrell Elementary School.Dibrell started off with nothing in the gas tank, allowing 10 points against but scoring none in the first quarter. Things didn’t go much better for the Lady Wildcats and it was 16-5 at halftime.Centertown must have fueled up on the drive over, as Addison Johnson led the scoring offense with 14 total game points.“I didn’t get all the adjustments I wanted to do on defense,” said Lady Warrior head coach Kelly Eckenrod. “Dibrell did a good job on the press.”Also scoring for Centertown’s Lady Warriors were Krista Chisam with 5 points, Jaylie Shehane had 4 and both Alyssa Mosely and Madison Johnson both had 2 points each.“We have a young group,” said head coach of the Dibrell Lady Wildcats Karen Simmons.
