The Warren County Middle School volleyball team has struggled on the road this season, but the Lady Pioneers know how to protect their home court.The Lady Pioneers picked up their second win of the season Tuesday when they defeated Algood Middle School 25-22 and 25-23.Warren County was playing its first of three home matches at Warren County Middle School gym this week and the Lady Pioneers were at their best from the very start.The Lady Pioneers jumped out to an early advantage in the first game behind strong serving performances from Lauren Hennessee and Madeline Haston.Hennessee’s strong over-handed serve kept the Algood players hedging backwards, then Haston came up and began to drop the ball in short with her precision underhanded serve.Warren County built a big lead midway through the first game, but Algood rallied back to make it close down the stretch. The Lady Pioneers and Algood traded points until the teams found themselves tied at 20. Warren County took back a slim lead, going up 22-20 behind an ace from Raylee Pack and a kill from Elsa Eckenrod.
