As the election votes were tallied Tuesday night, the Lady Broncos played host to Warren County’s Lady Pioneers. After four quarters, the Lady Pioneer victory was assured, 33-16.
What did add up was opportunities from the charity line for Boyd Christian School, but the Lady Broncos could only convert 40 percent, with a field goal thrown in by Bella Stiles. Boyd was at a 16-8 deficit at halftime.
Although Lady Bronco Ava Jones found the sweet spot for two 3-pointers in the third making her the highest scorer for Boyd with 10 points total, the Lady Pioneers kept working inside to outscore Boyd 17-8 in the final two quarters.
Lady Pioneer Kyra Perkins was game-high top scorer with 12 points.
Also scoring for Warren County Middle School were Kinslee Grissom with 8 points, Samantha McCormick had 5, Rosa Terrasaz and Bella Bain both hit for 4 points and Mary Grace Martin hit for 1 point from the line.
Boyd’s additional points makers were Stiles with 5 points and Emma Young with 1 point from the charity stripe.
Warren County Middle School traveled to Centertown last night. Results were not available at press time. Boyd Christian School goes on the road to Dibrell this Monday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m.
