Having just defeated White County 7-5 on Tuesday, the WCHS Lady Pioneers started out on the right foot Wednesday by sending Cookeville out to the field 1-2-3 after the first inning.It wasn’t a foreshadow of things to come however, as the Lady Cavs jumped to a 6-0 lead after four before Warren County could score, putting the Lady Pioneers in a two-game playoff trail toward winning a district title as Cookeville hung on to win, 8-4.“We played a tough and improved White County team,” said WCHS Lady Pioneer coach Gooby Martin. “Our girls battled throughout the night and we were fortunate to get the win.
