Don’t call it beginner’s luck for the Covenant Middle School volleyball team. The Lady Lions are just plain good.The Covenant girls volleyball team clinched a top-four spot in its conference tournament Thursday night with a straight set victory over Providence Christian Academy from Murfreesboro. The Lady Lions won the first set 25-16 and the second set 25-21.The first season of volleyball at Covenant has been a smash hit as the Lady Lions finished in the top four of the Middle Tennessee Athletic Conference standings.
